Overton Photographic Club

Sheepfair Exhibition 2016

The Club held a very successful Exhibition in July as part of the Overton Sheepfair weekend.

We exhibited 197 prints from Club members, plus a selection from pupils at Testbourne School and BCOT, and also had a continuous slideshow of digital images and a large selection of Digital Audio-Visual sequences.

A display of 60’s camera equipment, and archive photos of Overton in the 60’s reflected the “Swinging 60’s” theme of the Sheepfair.

The Exhibition was formally opened by the Mayor of Basingstoke, Cllr. Jane Frankum, and we had a really good attendance from the public throughout the whole weekend, with very positive feedback.

We received hundreds of votes for the public’s favourite photo, which was won in convincing manner by Allan Croombs’s Summer Storm in Sorrento.
